My company has never imported. Where do I start?
The first step is RADAR/Siscomex enablement — the Brazilian Federal Revenue authorization to operate in foreign trade. Universo handles the whole process and prepares your first operation together with you.
How much does it cost to import or export?
Costs vary by product, tariff classification (NCM/HS), origin/destination and transport mode. Before you decide, you receive a simulation with all the costs of the operation.
How long does an import operation take?
It depends on the mode and origin: air shipments take a few days; sea freight, a few weeks. During planning you receive a timeline with every stage.
Do you serve small and mid-sized companies?
Yes. We serve both companies on their first import and businesses already operating every month. The scope changes; the care stays the same.
What is tariff classification (NCM/HS) and why does it matter?
It is the code that defines the taxes and requirements for the goods. A wrong classification can lead to fines, delays and overpaid taxes — which is why we review every item before shipment.
